Have fun decorating these romantic heart-shaped cookies.
Sprinkle the flour on a work surface and pour in the center the sugar, the egg yolk and the butter. Add the salt and few drops of flavour. Quickly mix the dough with your fingers and then with the palm of your hand. Wrap the dough in the plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes. Roll the dough out on a work surface. Cut out the shapes with the heart cookie cutter and bake them at 170° C for about 10-15 minutes. Take out of the oven and let it cool. Prepare the royal icing mixture following the box instruction and color it with few drops of coloring gel. With the smaller cutter, let’s draw with the food marker a little heart on the cookie.
Trace the pattern obtained with the royal icing.
Finish your decorations adding with some edible glue the sugar pearls.
