The gingerbread cookies are fragrant and spicy cookies of Christmas period: a nice idea to hang on the tree!
In a bowl, pour the flour, the spices, the bicarbonate, the granulated sugar, the brown sugar, a pinch of salt and finally the honey.
Add the cold butter cut into cubes and quickly work the dough with your hands until you get a mixture with a sandy consistency. Combine the egg and knead quickly. Make a dough, cover with some plastic film and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. After this time, spread out the dough in a thickness of about 7 mm.
Cut some shapes with our Christmas cutters and arrange the cookies onto a baking tray lined with a sheet of parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 160° C for about 15 minutes.
Decorate your cookies with royal icing: prepare it following the instructions indicated on the pack. Draw small garlands on the edges of cookies.
