Rock 'n Roll, a biscuit that hides a guitar

Step 1

Mix the butter, sugar and egg together in a planetary mixer. Sift the flour and add it to the mixture together with the aroma. Take 2/3 of the dough, wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for about an hour. Add the red dye to the mix left in the mixer and mix well. Wrap it in cling film and store it in the fridge.

Step 2

Roll out the colored dough with a rolling pin obtaining a thickness of about half a centimeter and using the guitar cutter of the music kit cut out many shapes.

Step 3

Stack the shapes obtained one on top of the other, so as to obtain a cylinder. Use food glue to join the shapes together and store in the fridge for about an hour.

Step 4

With the non-colored dough, create small non-homogeneous rolls and line the red cylinder, taking care to put more dough at the protrusions.

Step 5

Cover the cylinder evenly so as to become the "heart" of our biscuits.

Step 6

Now roll out the uncolored dough and carefully wrap the obtained cylinder in order to make the surface more homogeneous.

Step 7

Place the roll on baking paper and brush the surface with food glue.

Step 8

Distribute the colored sugar beads on the paper and turn the roll on the sugars covering the entire surface. Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Step 9

After the cooling time, with the smooth blade knife, cut the roll into 2 cm thick slices.

Step 10

Place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, spacing them well apart.

Step 11

Bake for 10-12 minutes at a temperature of 175 ° C.
