Friable shortbread biscuits to be enjoyed with an orange liqueur.

Step 1

Whip the soft butter with the sugar, salt, vanilla and egg white. Once you have a creamy dough, add the flour and quickly incorporate it. Pour the dough into the pastry bag and with the 2B croissant you get the biscuits of the desired shape. Bake at 180 ° C for about 15 minutes.

Step 2

Start making the spiced orange liqueur by cleaning the fruit. Wash the oranges, dry them and remove the peel with a sharp potato peeler or small knife, being careful not to take the white part as well. Place the orange peel in a large jar that has an airtight seal. Inside the jar also add the cinnamon, the vanilla engraved lengthwise and the cardamom. Pour in the vodka too and close with the lid. Let it sit in the dark for 1 week, shaking the container every day. After this time, dissolve the sugar with 1/2 l of boiling water. Pour the syrup into the container with the Gin and the aromas, close the jar again and let it rest in the dark for another week, shaking every day. Once this second week has passed, once the maceration is complete, filter the liqueur with a strainer lined with a gauze pad, pour it into 4 half-liter bottles and plug them. To conclude the preparation of the spiced orange liqueur, insert a small stick of cinnamon in each bottle, close it with new caps and label them. The orange liqueur lasts over 6 months.
