Step 1

Whip with the help of an electric mixer at high speed the preparation for sponge cake with water, eggs and half a teaspoon of aroma, for about 7-10 minutes, until obtaining a white and frothy mixture. Pour the mixture into the 24 cm hinged mold, previously buttered and floured, and bake at 180 ° C for about 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to cool. Divide the sponge cake in half and fill it with the spreadable cream. Place the cake on the cake board and coat it with the white sugar paste using apricot jelly or food glue as the glue. Roll out the strips of white and pink sugar paste about 2 cm wide and place them on the edge of the cake with a rolling pin, alternating the colors.

Step 2

Proceed by coating two round polystyrenes of Ø 20 and 15 cm with the white sugar paste. Make a strip of pink sugar paste and wrap it around the polystyrene; uses food glue as a fixative.

Step 3

Complete the decoration by making a pink bow. Roll out the sugar paste with a rolling pin and cut two strips of equal length with the scalpel. With the brush, apply a small amount of glue on the end of one of the strips and fold it on itself to give it a circular shape. Work the seam edge with your fingers to form realistic creases. Repeat the operation making the other half of the bow. Make the center with a strip. Finally, arrange the bow on the previously made ribbon.

Step 4

Cover the smallest polystyrene by creating white and pink circles of different sizes with the round pastry cutter.

Step 5

To finish the cake, make the shoes.
Print the pattern on a card and cut it out. Roll out the pink sugar paste until it is about 3 mm thick. Place the pattern on the sugar paste and cut out the contours of the shoes with the scalpel. Start with the left shoe spreading a very light layer of food glue on the edge of the sugar paste. Place the other shape of the shoe on the edge of the sole, so that part B rests on part A and part B to D coincides with the toe of the shoe. Place part C of the strap on part D. To obtain a rounded shape during drying, insert some soft paper inside the shoe and let it dry for about a day.
