Soft, fragrant and good

Step 1

  • In a large bowl, sift the flour with the unsweetened cocoa.
  • Next, add the sugar and a pinch of salt.
  • Then, dissolve the yeast in the slightly warm milk and, finally, pour the milk into the flour mixture and mix with a hand whisk.

Step 2

  • Add the natural vanilla extract and the lightly beaten egg. Finally, add the soft butter at room temperature and knead the dough with your hands for about 10 minutes. You will need to get a soft and elastic but not sticky dough.
  • Then, transfer the dough to the bowl, cover it with cling film and let it rise for about 3 hours. When the dough has doubled in volume, divide it into balls of the same weight. Finally, place the balls in the bread pan covered with parchment paper.
  • Let it rise for another 30 minutes.

Step 3

  • Brush the brioche bread with a tablespoon of milk then bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Step 4

  • Let the brioche bread cool then sprinkle with icing sugar

Step 5

  • Finally, add the sugar stars on the surface.
