Romantic and scenographic, the heart cake is perfect for any special occasion

Step 1

In a bowl, work the eggs with an electric whisk. Gradually add the sugar and continue to work the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy. Sift the flour, baking powder and cocoa and gradually add them to the eggs, stirring with a spatula. Pour the milk at room temperature into the bowl, then the oil, continuing to mix. Finally add the rum aroma, a pinch of salt and the chocolate chips. Divide the dough by pouring them into the heart pans previously buttered and floured. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 35 minutes. Let the cake cool and in the meantime whip the cold cream with the sugar.

Step 2

Transfer the whipped cream to a pastry bag with a large round croissant and fill the layers with whipped cream. Assemble the cake and finish the decoration with berries.
